Install, configure, enable
Modules are installed then explicitly enabled — installing alone does not activate a module's behaviour.
Install a module from the Marketplace, configure its settings, then Enable it — only enabled modules receive messages.
Enabling a module that declares a capability (commerce, support, marketing, …) activates the matching dashboard section automatically; disabling it removes that section again.
